Cerner continues work on $4.5B Innovations Campus

Construction on the latest phases of Cerner's $4.5 billion campus in Kansas City, Mo., is moving forward, Kansas City Business Journal reports.

The third and fourth phases of the EHR vendor's $4.45 billion campus include two additional towers, which will stand 11 stories and 8 stories tall. The new developments, which total $220 million, will add 777,000 square feet to the campus, as well as capacity for 3,000 additional employees.

Work on towers three and four began in March 2018 after Cerner completed the 290-acre campus' first two towers in 2017. Towers one and two include a food court, health center, libraries and various gathering areas for meetings.

Towers three and four are expected to be completed in July 2020 and February 2020, respectively, according to the report. The entire campus is expected to be completed in 2025.
