Arrowhead Regional Medical Center will transition to an Epic EHR, unifying patient records on a single platform across the Colton, Calif.-based health system, High Desert Daily reports.
ARMC is a 456-bed academic teaching hospital, which comprises a burn center, level II trauma center, primary stroke center, a behavioral health center and five primary care centers.
"Having this [EHR] will unify healthcare delivery across our system," said Reza Sadeghian, MD, chief medical information officer at ARMC, according to the report. "All of ARMC's staff are involved in the transformation and in the journey to create the best possible experience for our patients."
With Epic, ARMC patients will also gain access to the EHR giant's online patient portal MyChart. Patients can leverage the portal to view their health information, communicate with providers and pay bills, among other functions.
