Allscripts has sold off precision medicine platform 2bPrecise to AccessDX Holdings for an undisclosed amount.
Four details:
- AccessDX is a diagnostic lab and software firm, according to an Aug. 25 news release. It said it will use 2bPrecise to ensure meaningful insights are accessible within the clinical workflow of any EHR, according to the news release.
- "Combined, our worldwide organization will be able to accelerate the pace of innovation and best serve the needs of healthcare organizations that continue to expand their adoption of actionable precision medicine solutions," said Joe Spinelli, senior vice president of product and strategy for AccessDX.
- Several health systems have deployed 2bPrecise in their EHRs, such as Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic and Cleveland-based University Hospitals.
- Allscripts was the primary investor of 2bPrecise when it was founded in 2015. The company would later become a wholly owned subsidiary of Allscripts.
