4 executive leadership moves at Cerner this year

Following the introduction of a new operating model and the company's pivot from EHRs to platforms in January, Cerner has also experienced various changes in executive leadership this year.

Four executive leadership moves at Cerner in 2019:

1. Julie Wilson, former chief people officer at Cerner, retired June 30.

2. Medtronic veteran Tracy Platt joined Cerner as executive vice president and chief human resources officer in July.

3. In September, Jeff Townsend, Cerner executive vice president and chief of innovation, announced his retirement, effective by the end of the year. After his departure, Mr. Townsend will take on an advisory role to the company.

4. Cerner announced Sept. 16 that Darrell Johnson will join the company in the newly created role of chief marketing officer.
