Three university hospitals in Belgium — University Hospitals of Antwerp, Gent and St. Lucas Hospital Gent — are implementing Cerner Millennium EHR.
Cerner's EHR, which provides flexible architecture and integrated functionalities, brings patient data together digitally. It can even suggest tests and alert staff to important patient information.
Cerner is aligning with the Belgian software companies Amaron and Besco to deliver the EHR solution to the three hospitals. The companies will provide local knowledge and regulatory expertise. Amaron focuses on data exchange between IT systems and eHealth service platforms and Besco focuses on the use of the correct terminology for billing and medication.
