MidHudson Regional Hospital ED nurses receive government recognition

Emergency department nurses at Poughkeepsie, N.Y.-based MidHudson Regional Hospital received a special recognition from the Poughkeepsie government Friday, according to a press release emailed to Becker's.

The ED's 33-member nursing team works with MidHudson's director of nursing and two clinical coordinators to provide high-quality care for patients who have experienced traumas or other medical emergencies.

The ED nursing team in June received recognition form the Dutchess County Emergency Medical Services for its extraordinary medical excellence.

The recognition ceremony comes near the end of Emergency Nurses Week, which runs from Oct. 8 to Oct. 14.
