Uber Health expands to Australia

Uber Health's non-emergency transportation services for medical appointments expanded to Australia, the rideshare company said Aug. 18.

The company said the expanded service will allow physicians and medical centers to schedule, manage and pay for rides for patients and caregivers in a digital hub, allowing riders to access transport even without a smartphone, according to the press release.

Since its launch in the U.S., more than 3,000 individuals have used Uber Health to get to their healthcare appointments.
