Microsoft's Azure OpenAI can collect, analyze healthcare data

Microsoft's Azure OpenAI platform is being used to collect and analyze healthcare data.

For instance, Opus 5K, a health IT software company based in Australia, deployed the technology for its MARS (Measurement, Analysis and Reporting System) platform.

"We’re using Azure Open AI to automate both the data collection and the actions part of the solution," Hassan Kani, founder and director of Opus 5K, told Microsoft in a May 16 blog post. "So for example, we’ve built MARS to query the Azure OpenAI service for generic guidance, based on the industry and the specific area that a user wants to hone in on. For example: 'Suggest some questions that could be included when doing blood management audits in a healthcare organization.'"

Opus 5K hopes to bring its product to the international market soon.
