Apple is introducing new health features across its product lineup, including an over-the-counter hearing aid option.
According to a Sept. 9 news release from the company, sleep and hearing health features will soon be available on the Apple Watch and AirPods Pro 2.
The Apple Watch will offer sleep apnea notifications, pending marketing authorization from the FDA and other global health authorities. Meanwhile, the AirPods Pro 2 will include a clinically validated hearing test feature and an over-the-counter hearing aid option, both also awaiting global regulatory approval. Apple expects these features to launch this fall.
