Telemedicine was the top-funded digital health category during the first half of 2021, according to a report released July 16 by Mercom Capital Group.
Digital health startups raised $14.7 billion in the first six months of 2021, meaning the sector has already surpassed the $14.6 billion it raised in all of 2020.
Below are the top five digital health categories that received funding during the first half of 2021:
- Telemedicine: $4.2 billion
- Wellness: $1.7 billion
- mHealth apps: $1.6 billion
- Analytics: $1.5 billion
- Clinical decision support: $1.1 billion
