Louisville, Ky.-based accelerator XLerateHealth selected nine startup companies to joint its 2019 Louisville accelerator cohort, according to a July 30 news release.
Currently, XLH has 75 companies in its portfolio that cover a range of healthcare domains, including biomedical devices, diagnostics, drug therapies, digital health, telemedicine, healthcare services and aging care.
Here are the nine healthcare companies to join the accelerator:
1. Assay Me (New York City) has created an at-home test kit for monitoring diabetes.
2. Briocare (Frisco, Texas) developed an artificial intelligence-based senior care platform that uses voice technology to eliminate caregiver anxiety.
3. Cellgorithmics (Chicago) is working on a CRISPR-based, genetic programming platform that converts cells into biological computers using DNA-based instructions that read like lines of code.
4. Clinitraq (Irvine, Calif.) captures and analyzes radiation data from healthcare workers through a device that uses real-time location-based radiation technology.
5. DSC Technologies (Louisville) is developing a point-of-care blood plasma assay to distinguish between type 1 and type 2 heart attacks.
6. Hardin Scientific (Los Angeles) creates and manufactures smart, modular laboratory equipment to aid research and diagnostic companies in discovering life-saving treatments and pharmaceuticals.
7. Kare Mobile (Louisville) is a platform and app for patients to receive dental treatment on demand.
8. NohoMed (New York City) has developed an intelligent monitoring system that is designed to detect early chronic obstructive pulmonary disease exacerbations.
9. Prodigy Biosciences (Louisville) has created a personalized approach to food testing and allergy management.
