In an attempt to boost access to accurate health information and disseminate public health knowledge, YouTube has partnered with the New England Journal of Medicine.
Through the partnership, NEJM now has a YouTube channel through which it will share videos explaining study summaries and findings through creative storytelling, according to a Jan. 26 blog post.
"Communicating rigorously vetted health information is a core part of our mission," Eric Rubin, MD, PhD, editor-in-chief of NEJM, said in the post. "This partnership gives us the opportunity to experiment with communicating health information in new and engaging ways. We hope this channel will serve both the medical community as well as all curious and interested viewers."
