Twitter taps former Healthline sales head to run health partnerships

Lisa Bookwalter, formerly the senior director of advertising for media company Healthline, has joined Twitter to oversee all U.S. health and wellness clients, MM&M reports.

Ms. Bookwalter will reportedly manage both client partnerships and the social media company's market positioning within the health and wellness industry. She will report to Brad Keown, a managing director at Twitter who leads the company's health, alcoholic beverages, dining and consumer packaged goods divisions.

"Twitter is where meaningful dialogue is happening, and, ultimately, that dialogue presents health marketers with a treasure trove of cues to better understand and engage consumers," Ms. Bookwalter said in a statement, per MM&M. "Health companies are changing the world; they are at the center of innovation in so many ways, so I'm thrilled to join the team and introduce more health companies to the opportunities they have on the platform."

Ms. Bookwalter joined Healthline in 2011 as director of advertising sales before being named senior director of advertising in January. Prior to that, she was advertising director for Meredith's travel group and managing director for The New York Times.
