The pandemic has inspired more students to apply for graduate-level degree programs for public health, with a particular emphasis on health crisis communication studies, according to a report released May 20 by the Association of Schools and Public Health Programs.
Applications to graduate-level public health degree programs increased by 40 percent from March 2020 to March 2021, the report found.
The misinformation and political division that has persisted throughout the pandemic shined a light on the need for strategic and inclusive public health communication, according to the report.
