Fort Myers, Fla.-based Lee Health has inked a 10-year naming rights deal with MLB's Minnesota Twins.
The baseball team's spring training facility in Fort Myers is being renamed the Lee Health Sports Complex. The complex is also home to the Mighty Mussels, a Twins minor league affiliate, and the Florida Complex League Twins, a rookie league team, as well as the Twins Player Development Academy and four community softball fields.
"We have worked with the Twins in numerous capacities over the years, and we are thrilled to enter into this partnership with the Twins organization. They share Lee Health's vision of community service with a focus on a long-lasting, positive impact on southwest Florida," said Chris Simoneau, chief development, marketing and communications officer for Lee Health, in a Nov. 16 news release. "We are proud to be the Twins' official healthcare provider, and we can’t wait to see what we accomplish together for health and wellness in the southwest Florida region in the next decade."
As part of the collaboration, the complex will also host free health checks during Twins spring training games as well as health fairs, fitness and yoga classes and softball leagues on nongame days. In addition, Lee Health will present the Twin's annual free youth baseball and softball clinics.
The Twins are scheduled to play 18 home spring training games at Lee Health Sports Complex in 2024. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
