Salinas (Calif.) Valley Memorial Healthcare System is changing its name to Salinas Valley Health.
Input for the new name was led by the community and staff, according to a March 8 news release from Salinas.
Pete Delgado, president and CEO of Salinas Valley Health, said the health system was looking to change its name for years, but due to the pandemic, it had to hold off.
Salinas Valley Health includes a 263-bed acute care hospital, medical clinics, a network of urgent care clinics and a rural health clinic.
