3 health systems undergoing rebranding efforts

Three hospitals and health systems that have announced name changes or other rebranding efforts since Oct. 4:

  • Oak Bluffs, Mass.-based Martha's Vineyard Hospital has been slowly integrating the Mass General Brigham brand into its hospital, but high costs associated with new signs, business cards, stationary and uniforms has delayed the process. The new rebranding efforts have taken over two years.

  • After going by the temporary moniker BHSH System, Beaumont Health and Spectrum Health rolled out a name for their combined system on Oct. 11. The combined health systems will now be called Corewell Health. Branding and signage with the new name and logo — a blue and green sphere — will be installed in phases over the next two years.

  • After 60 years, Good Samaritan Hospital in West Islip, N.Y., has rebranded to Good Samaritan University Hospital. On Oct. 12, dozens of healthcare workers, elected officials and hospital administration members gathered to unveil the new name, which underscores the medical center's commitment to its residency and fellowship programs.
