The 50 most innovative artificial intelligence companies in 2024 include three focused on healthcare, Fortune reported.
The publication picked finalists who have "gained the most traction, such as funding or customers, and whose AI is considered to be among the best of class," according to a Nov. 20 story.
Here are the companies on the Fortune 50 AI Innovators list that concentrate on the healthcare sector, in alphabetical order:
1. Abridge: ambient AI for clinical documentation. The startup aims its pitches at health system CIOs, CFOs and chief medical information officers. "We need all three of them to believe that this creates ROI for their clinicians," co-founder and CEO Shiv Rao, MD, told Fortune.
2. Insilico Medicine: AI for drug discovery and aging research.
3. Xaira Therapeutics: generative AI for drug discovery, production and clinical trials. "We believe that AI will enable us to transform how we do all three steps and be much more successful," CEO Marc Tessier-Lavigne, PhD, told the news outlet.
