Rush University System for Health launches digital care platform

Chicago-based Rush University System for Health has launched a digital-first care platform called Rush Connect.

The tool offers virtual specialty care for cardiology, urinary health, skin issues, hair regrowth, and ear, nose and throat symptoms; virtual urgent care available "in the next 20 minutes"; e-visits that turn a physician's appointment into an email exchange via MyChart; and self-scheduled screenings for lung and breast cancer.

"Our Rush Connect services, like all our care options, are grounded in research and medical expertise," said Paul Casey, MD, senior vice president and chief medical officer of Rush University Medical Center, in an Oct. 2 statement.

The health system said more Rush Connect services are coming soon.
