Former Optum exec joins digital health literacy company as chief health officer

Seth Serxner, PhD, was named chief health officer of digital communications and engagement company EdLogics on July 21.

Before joining EdLogics, Dr. Serxner served as chief health officer and senior vice president of population health for OptumHealth, according to a press release. In this role, he worked with employers, payers and providers to apply evidence-based practices to solve health-related problems within their populations.

"We look forward to leveraging his experience and expertise to help lead EdLogics' digital health strategy, support our business development efforts and position our organization for success in a rapidly changing healthcare industry," said Thomas Chamberlain, PharmD, founder and CEO of EdLogics.

Over the last month, six executives previously with UnitedHealth Group's Optum have announced positions with new companies across the country.

Dr. Serxner is the seventh executive to leave the company.
