In June, KLAS Research released the first of its two-part report on precision medicine vendors.
For the report, the health IT research firm conducted interviews and research to select 13 precision medicine vendors with "high mindshare among healthcare providers." The first report outlines the vendors' product capabilities, while the second report — which has yet to be released — will poll customers to review the performance of various vendors.
The 13 vendors KLAS Research identified in its initial report — 2bPrecise, Fabric Genomics, Gene42, IBM Watson Health, LifeOmic, NantHealth, Navican, N-of-One, Philips, PierianDx, Sunquest Information Systems, Tempus and Translational Software — all maintain between two and nine years of experience in the precision medicine space.
All of the vendors but two — Gene42 and Navican — report use in the acute-care setting. Six of the vendors — 2bPrecise, Navican, Philips, PierianDx, Tempus and Translational Software — count hospital leaders among their most common end-users, although the most common target audiences for the 13 vendors included clinicians, genetic counselors and laboratory staff.
