Salt Lake City based Intermountain Healthcare's precision medicine initiative, Intermountain Precision Genomics, is teaming up with Pleasanton, Calif.-based 10x Genomics to expand research efforts.
The collaboration adds the Chromium Genome Solution to the Translational Science Center, a research center housed within the Intermountain system that explores genome sequencing and precision medicine techniques.
Under the agreement, 10x Genomics will provide technology solutions to support the center's efforts to help bring precision medicine into the clinical setting.
"Access to long-range sequence information is becoming the standard for obtaining the most comprehensive understanding of disease, and we look forward to help enable Intermountain Healthcare to gain valuable insights that have previously not been possible," said Serge Saxonov, PhD, CEO of 10x Genomics.
