While many services operated by the New Orleans government are up and running following a Dec. 13 cyberattack, the city's health department continues to have connectivity issues, according to local ABC affiliate WGNO.
Health officials can answer questions regarding immunization records. However, the department is having trouble accessing files and patient information. The department's Healthcare for the Homeless is unable to treat patients because officials can't access the EHR. Instead, clinicians are using patient records to reschedule appointments.
The New Orleans Emergency Operations Center has been activated. City officials continue to recover data and files that have been encrypted or impacted from the attack. It remains unclear if it was a ransomware attack.
Additionally, the city's official website remains down. There is a temporary webpage for community members to visit.
