Microsoft to acquire cybersecurity startup Miburo

Microsoft will acquire cyber threat analysis and research company Miburo.

Miburo, which specializes in the detection of and response to foreign information operations, will help the tech giant expand its threat detection and analysis capabilities, according to a June 14 Microsoft blog post.

Clint Watts, CEO and founder of Miburo will become part of the Customer Security and Trust organization and work with Microsoft's threat intelligence center, its threat context analysis team, and data scientists as part of the acquisition.

With its acquisition of Miburo, Microsoft is looking to find long-term solutions that can stop foreign adversaries from threatening public and private sector customers.
