Microsoft's $15 billion cybersecurity business is seeing a faster growth rate than all major parts of its company, CNBC reported April 26.
In January, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella said that security is generating $15 billion a year in revenue, up from $10 billion in 2021, meaning security is outpacing every other major Microsoft product.
According to research firm Gartner, Microsoft controlled about 8.5 percent of the entire security software market in 2021, a larger share than any other firm.
The Big Tech company is scheduled to report its fiscal third-quarter results on April 26, with the possibility of investors getting another glimpse into the growth happening inside the company's security unit.
