Boxes containing medical records from the now-closed MD Medical Spa and Wellness Center in Hyannis and Norwell, Mass., were found on the side of a road in New Bedford, Mass., Jan. 14, according to NBC 10 News.
The records included patients' private information, including Social Security and driver's license numbers.
Robert Munro, a former employee with the facility, said he hired a man named Dave to shred and dispose of the documents, but Mr. Munro couldn't provide Dave's last name or the name of the shredding company. When NBC 10 News called Dave, he did not answer.
Police picked up the boxes of medical records but have not returned NBC 10 News' requests for comment.
