After taking its EHR offline after its servers were compromised, Brewer, Maine-based Northern Light Health has successfully brought its patient records system back online as of Feb. 5.
Although the EHR system is operational, Northern Light said in a Feb. 5 update on its website that routine processes may experience a temporary slowdown.
"We appreciate your understanding and patience as we work towards restoring our full operational efficiency," the website notice reads.
This comes after the health system had to take its EHR system offline Feb. 3 and resort to downtime procedures after it learned that some of its computer servers were compromised.
According to Northern Light, the affected computer servers did not contain any patient information and the EHR was taken offline out of "an abundance of caution."
