Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago has restored access to its email and phone after a cyberattack forced the hospital to take them offline, NBC Chicago reported Feb. 14.
The hospital confirmed to the news outlet that the majority of phones and email to external email addresses has been restored, but MyChart remains down.
"We are still operating our call center as the best point of contact for families to reach providers and service lines. The restoration process is ongoing and progressing," Lurie Children's spokesperson Julianne Bardele told NBC Chicago.
The hospital is working with the FBI to further probe the cyberattack.
Phones, email and MyChart have been down since Jan. 31, the day Lurie Children's learned of the breach.
On Feb. 8, the hospital confirmed to Becker's that a "known criminal threat actor" was behind the cyberattack.
