White House Chief of Staff and former Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security John Kelly may have had his personal cell phone compromised, reports Politico.
Officials believe the breach to Mr. Kelly's phone dates back to December, raising concerns that hackers or foreign governments may have accessed his data while he was serving at DHS.
The reported breach was discovered after Mr. Kelly turned his phone over to the White House's tech support this summer because it was not working properly.
According to Politico, Mr. Kelly had not used his personal phone to conduct White House business since joining the administration.
