Compliancy Group, which markets a web-based solution to assist with HIPAA compliance, rolled out a free online HIPAA quiz Sept. 12 to help organization assess their knowledge of the data privacy legislation.
The quiz was designed by HIPAA experts to help healthcare professionals determine where they stand in regards to federal healthcare privacy requirements. It asks users to submit basic information about their organization, and then answer a series of multiple-choice and yes-or-no questions about the status of their compliance.
"Too often we see misconceptions around HIPAA compliance in the healthcare market," Joe Bilello, vice president of Compliancy Group, said in a news release. "We hope the HIPAA quiz will give users the chance to find out what's really required for HIPAA compliance, rather than relying on hearsay and outdated information."
