Government was ranked third from last in a ranking of 18 major industries based on cybersecurity practices, according to the 2017 U.S. State and Federal Government Cybersecurity Report.
For the report, SecurityScorecard analyzed more than 500 federal, state and local government agencies and compared the combined group to 17 other industries on 10 security risk categories: web applications; network security; leaked credentials; hacker chatter; social engineering; exposed administrative portals; Domain Name System health; patching cadence; endpoint security; and malware presence.
