94% of chief information security officers suffer from work-related stress: Survey

A report from cybersecurity company Cynet found that 94 percent of chief information security officers suffer from work-related stress, with 65 percent saying the stress compromises their ability to protect their organizations from attacks.

According to the report, stress affects the entire cybersecurity team, as 74 percent of CISOs said a team member left due to work-related stress.

All the CISOs surveyed said they needed more resources to cope with security challenges, according to a Feb. 22 Cynet news release. Cynet surveyed 200 CISOs at small to midsize businesses with security teams of five employees or fewer for the report.
