Washington's Adams County Public Hospital District No. 2 Starts New CEO at $140K

Adams County Public Hospital District No. 2 in Washington has named Mark Barglof as its new permanent CEO, setting the administrator's salary at $140,000 with no performance bonuses, according to a Ritzville Journal report.

Commissioners voted unanimously to make Mr. Barglof's interim CEO position permanent on Tuesday. The contract includes a salary increase for the CEO position, with Mr. Barglof receiving $140,000 compared to the $110,000 paid to his predecessor, Paul Lewis.

The contract was also changed to give Mr. Barglof a 12-month severance package in the event of his termination.

Board members explained the increased salary makes the district's CEO position more competitive with similar facilities in the Pacific Northwest. According to the Northwest Region Hospital Executive Compensation survey, the median salary for CEOs of facilities with annual revenues under $30 million is $151,000.
