Christopher Rinn, Jersey City Medical Center's executive director of emergency medical services and governmental affairs, has been named assistant commissioner of health for the state of New Jersey, according to a Jersey Journal report.
Mr. Rinn will start work on Nov. 22. He will take responsibility for the Health Infrastructure Emergency Preparedness and Response division, as well as the Public Health and Environmental Laboratories division.
According to the report, Mr. Rinn has worked in every aspect of EMS at Jersey City Medical Center, working his way up from EMT to dispatcher, paramedic, supervisor, tour chief, coordinator, assistant director and finally executive director.
