Tax documents filed today show Pittsburgh-based West Penn Allegheny Health System CEO Christopher Olivia, MD, received a base salary of $1.26 million in 2009, the latest year reported, according to a Pittsburgh Tribune-Review report.
The reported 2009 salary is nearly 61 percent more than what was reported in 2008. Dr. Olivia also received a $500,000 bonus in 2009 — up from the $200,000 bonus he received in 2008. His total compensation in 2009 was $1.9 million compared to $1.1 million in 2008.
