The board of commissioners at 80-bed Olympic Medical Center in Port Angeles, Wash., voted unanimously to issue a 10 percent salary increase to CEO Eric Lewis, raising his total compensation to $193,600, according to a Peninsula Daily News report.
Commissioner Jean Hordyk told the Peninsula Daily News that the raise was "important" and that "in order to keep [Mr. Lewis], he needs a raise."
Mr. Lewis will become the second-highest-paid hospital CEO in the North Olympic Peninsula after Mike Glenn of Jefferson Healthcare in Port Townsend, Wash. Mr. Glenn's annual compensation is $233,515.
