The board of Lee Memorial Health System in Fort Myers, Fla., officially approved an 8 percent raise for president and CEO Jim Nathan, bringing his new annual salary to $808,000, according to an NBC2 report.
The raise puts Mr. Nathan's salary in the 50th percentile of all hospital/health system CEO salaries in the country.
Lee Memorial recently cut $125 million from its 2013 budget, and ending management bonuses and incentives for executives were proposed within the budget's framework. It has yet to be determined if that plan will go into effect.
