Healthcare employees are expected to see modest pay raises of 2.6 percent in 2013, which is less than other industries, but healthcare executives are expected to benefit the most, according to a CNN Money report.
The report analyzed the 2012-2013 U.S. Compensation Planning Survey from Mercer, a consulting firm. Although healthcare workers will see a lower salary raise than the average American worker next year (2.9 percent), salary freezes are expected to drop significantly.
Only 1.5 percent of companies surveyed expect to freeze salaries next year, down from 5.1 percent this year. Executives are expected to benefit the most, as only 1.9 percent of companies said they planned to freeze the pay of executive-level employees, according to the report.
