Erlanger Health System, based in Chattanooga, Tenn., has awarded a severance package to another executive, the third such buyout since the end of last year, according to a Chattanooga Times Free Press report.
Keith Helton, MD, former senior vice president of physician services, received a six-month severance of $92,492, according to the report.
Jim Brexler, former CEO of Erlanger, received the biggest severance package of $713,000 with $15,000 in health benefits at the end of December. Doug Fisher, former vice president of government affairs, marketing and community relations, left Jan. 13 with a lump sum of $157,014.
