Of the 50 top-paid government employees in the Chattanooga, Tenn., area, nine worked at the public Erlanger Health System, according to a Chattanooga Times Free Press report.
Interim CEO Charlesetta Woodward-Thompson earned $486,737 last year, although that is roughly $62,000 less than what former CEO Jim Brexler earned before he resigned this past December.
The other eight Erlanger executives who cracked the top 50 of the Times Free Press' analysis include the following.
• James Tabor, CFO: $358,508
• Dale Hetzler, chief legal officer: $306,014
• Roger Forgey, chief administrator: $300,008
• Alana Sullivan, chief compliance officer: $252,058
• Susan Whisman, RN, chief nursing officer: $242,522
• Gregg Gentry, chief human resources director: $222,301
• Joseph Winick, senior vice president of planning: $213,389
• Ronald Berg, PhD, physicist: $190,924
