Albuquerque (N.M.) ER and Hospital has opened a new fully licensed micro-hospital, KOB reported July 13.
The facility houses 80 ER beds and six inpatient rooms.
The hospital could bridge the gap for emergency care, cut wait times and ease the strain on larger hospitals, Sanjay Kholwadwala, MD, CEO of Albuquerque ER and Hospital, told KOB.
