Pittsburgh-based UPMC unveiled plans for a $62 million heart care center for pediatric patients, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported Nov. 7.
The three-story, 50,000-square-foot Heart Institute at UPMC Children's Hospital will house heart catheterization labs, advanced MRI imaging machines and space for medical consultations. The building will connect to UPMC's current heart institute facility via a bridge.
The center will open in 2026.
