The American College of Cardiology appointed interventional cardiologist B. Hadley Wilson, MD, as president.
Dr. Wilson will hold the position for a year, according to an ACC press release. He stepped into his new role on March 6.
Dr. Wilson is a practicing interventional cardiologist and executive vice chair at Sanger Heart and Vascular Institute in Charlotte, N.C. and a clinical professor of medicine at Winston-Salem, N.C.-based Wake Forest University School of Medicine.
Over 25 years of ACC membership, he has held various leadership positions, including governor of the North Carolina chapter.
