Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based Broward Health has named Jose Baez-Escudero, MD, as the system's first chief of cardiology.
Dr. Baez will also serve as chief of cardiac electrophysiology, according to a Nov. 20 news release shared with Becker's.
He previously served as the director of electrophysiology, interim chair of cardiology and cardiology fellowship program director at Cleveland Clinic Weston (Fla.) Hospital, the release said.
