1. Richard Kaplon, MD, was named chief of cardiac surgery at Danbury (Conn.) Hospital.
2. Adventist Health St. Helena (Calif.) selected Ehrin Armstrong, MD, to serve as medical director of the Adventist Heart & Vascular Institute.
3. Lahey Hospital & Medical Center named Prem Shekar, MD, chair of cardiac and thoracic surgery.
4. Interventional cardiologist Willie Lawrence, Jr., MD, joined the medical staff at Spectrum Health Lakeland in St. Joseph, Mich.
5. St. Mary's Regional Medical Center welcomed Nikunjkumar Patel, MD, and Charisse Ward, MD, to its medical staff.
