The American College of Surgeons and the Society for Vascular Surgery verified the first four hospitals with its newly launched Vascular Verification Program.
To receive verification, hospitals had to show a commitment to improving outcomes and delivering the best treatment for patients receiving vascular surgical and interventional care in an inpatient setting, according to a June 14 ACS news release.
The following hospitals were verified as Comprehensive Inpatient centers — one of two levels of participation for inpatient hospitals:
- Albany (N.Y.) Medical Center
- Baylor Scott & White The Heart Hospital-Plano (Texas)
- Keck Hospital of USC (Los Angeles)
- University of California San Francisco Medical Center
