Franklin, Tenn.-based Williamson Medical Center is looking to secure a $45 million bond note to fund its $79 million expansion, according to The Tennessean.
The project will expand space for orthopedic and women's services, by adding 14 new delivery rooms, eight neonatal intensive care units, a new baby nursery and an updated operating room.
The county commission, which owns the hospital's building and land, will vote on the bond issue June 11. The bond note will not cost taxpayers.
Some county commissioners previously considered selling the hospital and using the funding for schools, but they have since shelved that plan.
