University Hospitals receives 'transformational' $15M gift

Cleveland-based University Hospitals has received a $15 million "transformational gift" from Robert Jursich, Sr. to establish the Robert and Marthe Jursich Care for Children Fund at University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children's, the health system said in a June 21 news release.

The fund will support areas of need at UH Rainbow and fuel advancements in clinical care, technology and research. It will help recruit and retain top pediatric providers.

In recognition, UH Rainbow will name the Robert and Marthe Jursich Tower at its landmark location on the UH Cleveland Medical Center campus.

"UH Rainbow Babies & Children's thrives on the generous support of the community, which allows us to advance the personalized care we provide to our young patients," UH CEO Cliff Megerian, MD, said.
