Bethlehem, Pa.-based St. Luke's University Health Network's Carbon Campus in Leighton, Pa., has finished its emergency department expansion, Fox affiliate WOLF reported Oct. 20.
The expansion was designed to add more beds to the department. It now has 30 beds to meet an increase in demand for emergency services in the area. Each patient room has cardiac monitors, beds that can weigh patients and a TV.
New jobs for nurses and ancillary staff are also available because of the expanded department, the report said.
