Santa Fe to open its first new medical center in 30 years

Albuquerque, N.M.-based Presbyterian Healthcare Services will open the Santa Fe (N.M.) Medical Center, the first medical center to be built in the area in 30 years, Oct. 1, according to a KOB news report.

The $145 million, 342,000-square foot hospital will house 30 private patient rooms, a six-bed family birthing unit, a rehabilitation facility and a rooftop garden.

The facility will offer a wide range of services, including behavioral health, pediatrics, cardiology, neurology and pulmonology.  

Presbyterian Healthcare is hiring more than 300 employees to staff the facility.
